Vintage Wajima lacquer Kokeshi doll set
Adorable vintage Kokeshi set, handmade from wood and finished with genuine Wajima lacquer. This charming set features a boy in deep green lacquer with hand-painted golden Bamboo motifs and a girl in red with plum blossom design, hand-painted in gold and black. Wajima on the Noto Peninsula, Japan is world-renowned for its Urushi (lacquer) tradition, admired for its rich colors, glossy sheen, and durability, a craft perfected over centuries.
