Vintage Furoshiki crafted from Chirimen silk, a traditional Japanese silk fabric characterized by its distinctive bumpy, crimped surface texture known as Shibo. Supple yet durable, Chirimen drapes beautifully while retaining its strength, making it ideal for both practical and decorative use. It features a print of Ginkgo leaves, symbolizes longevity and resilience in Japanese culture. This Furoshiki dates from the 1970s and comes in its original Paulownia wooden box and is in good vintage condition.
