Vintage Furoshiki wrapping cloth with Pine tree (Matsu) design on a gradient colored background, signed by the artist.
Crafted from Chirimen silk, a traditional Japanese silk fabric characterized by its distinctive bumpy, crimped surface texture known as Shibo. Supple yet durable, Chirimen silk drapes beautifully while retaining its strength. It comes in its original carton box and remains in good vintage condition. Dating from around the 1980s.
Can be used for gift wrapping, worn as a scarf or simply as a collectors piece of Japanese textile art. It is large in size, making it ideal for tying a bag.
