This stunning vintage Furisode kimono is crafted from luxurious flowing silk, it features elegant flying cranes across graceful swinging Obijime cords on a vibrant deep blue background. Some cranes on the front are finished with delicate Kinkoma gold-thread embroidery. In Japanese culture, cranes symbolize good fortune, longevity, and hope. It works beautifully as Japanese wall art or displayed on a mannequin.

Furisode Kimono feature long, graceful sleeves and are traditionally worn by young, unmarried women in Japan during the Coming of Age Ceremony (Seijin no Hi), held each year on the second Monday of January, celebrating the transition into adulthood.

This Furisode features a full white silk lining and matching blue gradient edges. Use the interior buttons to easily fold the collar to half width, a handy refined and practical styling detail.
Very good vintage condition. There is light discoloration on the collar, consistent with age and previous wear.
