NOH – vintage Oshima Tsumugi silk men’s Haori with Noh mask print

Vintage men’s Haori (Kimono jacket) hand-sewn from Oshima Tsumugi silk in a deep brown-black color. Oshima silk is a plain woven silk (hand-spun) with a very fine pattern of pre-dyed threads, which gives it a subtle sheen and silky surface. Threads are dyed with vegetable dyes and the use of mineral-rich mud. Produced in the Amami Islands in the southern prefecture of Kagoshima, Japan. The light blue colored silk lining has a stunning print of three Noh masks. Noh is a classical form of Japanese dance and drama. With a lining like this, it is also great to wear the Haori inside out. And it is suitable for men and women! In perfect vintage condition, no imperfections!
