Ōmisoka – Long silk Kimono jacket with golden and silver details
This silk black Kimono jacket is slightly longer and has stylish long sleeves. The patterns are woven with gold and silver threads, with a subtle red touch. Unfortunately, my camera doesn’t show the metallic threads very well on the detailed photos, in real life it looks more shiny. A beautiful jacket you can wear chic or casual, with or without a belt, or wear it as a short dress. The silk lining is cream colored and has a beautiful design, there is a family crest on the back. The orange silk cord (Obijime) is not included.
This Kimono jacket is in perfect vintage condition, NO imperfections, it looks unworn. It dates from the 60’s. Ōmisoka is the name of the Japanese traditional festival on the last day of the year. In the last moments of December 31, temple bells all over Japan ring to signal the end of one year and the beginning of the next. This Kimono jacket is definitely the perfect jacket to wear on New Year’s Eve or any other festive day in the New Year.
