RAKU – Vintage warm brown Noren curtain
Vintage Noren curtain made from sturdy warm brown cotton with a Shodo calligraphy print in bright white. The kanji 楽 (Raku) means “comfortable, easy and effortless”.
This vintage Noren has a clean, modern look with an authentic Japanese character. Hang it as a room divider in a doorway or hallway, or display it as a traditional piece of wall art.
Comes with its original box, covered in handmade paper, and the original insert featuring a Japanese text explaining the Raku expression. This Noren is in excellent condition and appears to have never been used, dating back from the 1980s.
To hang a Japanese Noren: slide a tension rod or a wooden rod through the fabric sleeve at the top. You can also attach it to a wooden door frame using a few small pins. A rod and pins are not included.
