Vintage Kokeshi set in Hijiori style, handmade in Japan. Hijiori Kokeshi originate from the Hijiori Onsen area in Yamagata Prefecture (the North Eastern part of Japan).

Both dolls have a refined, hand-painted chrysanthemum (kiku) pattern on the body, with subtle differences in their decoration and facial expression.

Good vintage condition, with minor signs of age and use.
