Vintage Silk Furoshiki with Nesting Tsuru – 1970s

A beautiful vintage Furoshiki made of supple silk, featuring a print of an elegant Tsuru (Japanese crane) nesting against a warm beige background. The artist’s signature is present in one corner, adding to its authenticity and charm. The strong majestic bird symbolizes good fortune and longevity, it is a national treasure in Japan. Did you know these cranes construct platform nests in shallow water and lay a clutch of two eggs at a time. This small size Furoshiki dates from the 1970s and comes in its original box. It is in good vintage condition, with only one small, barely visible stain near the signature. Perfect for gift wrapping or display.
