Vintage silk Furoshiki with stormy waves pattern

Vintage Furoshiki (traditional wrapping cloth) made of soft, genuine chirimen silk. Chirimen silk is a soft textured fabric made by twisting the threads as they are woven, giving it that special crepe texture. This Furoshiki has a Japanese illustrative print of stormy waves in beige, green, wine red and blue colors. This traditional print is clearly inspired by the famous woodblock prints from the Edo period, think of Hiroshige. A vintage gem, beautiful for wrapping that special gift or wear it as a scarf, reusable! It is in perfect vintage condition, unused. Dates from the 70s.
