Vintage set of 4 Kokeshi dolls, handcrafted in the Yamagata style, known for its graceful forms, delicate flower patterns and cute faces.
Originating from the Tōhoku region in northern Japan, Kokeshi dolls were traditionally made as gifts and sold at hot spring towns.

This mid-20th-century set features the work of various skilled artisans, each bringing their own subtle style to the dolls.  In good vintage condition. Perfect for collectors, as a gift, or adding a touch of handcrafted Japan to your home.
