Wonderful Kokeshi set by Miyashita Hajime

Delighted to have found these matching vintage Kokeshi sisters, handmade and designed by award-winning master Miyashita Hajime (1940 – ). They wear a kimono in a neon red color with a beautiful matching hairpin. The detailed hand-painted collar, hairlines and faces are exquisite. These dolls date from around the late 1970s, both are still in good vintage condition. The color of the small Kokeshi is slightly lighter compared to the tall doll.
