YUKINA – Silk embroidered black Haori Kimono, unworn
This vintage Haori (Kimono jacket) proves that black is anything but basic. Hand-sewn from a flowy black silk with a subtle sheen, it moves beautifully and catches the light just enough to turn heads, without shouting for attention.
The real poetry is in the detailed hand-stitched embroidery across the back and sleeve in crisp white and warm orange. Inside, the Haori is lined with beige silk featuring traditional Japanese court-music (雅楽 gagaku) instruments, symbolizing tradition and the Heian-court aesthetic.
This Haori came with it’s tailor’s original silk basting threads (Shitsuke) still in place, to preserve shape during storage. Clearly an indication that it has never been worn, therefore in perfect condition. So you get all the soul of a vintage piece with the freshness of something new. A rare, collectible find.
