CHAIRO – vintage Oshima Tsumugi silk Haori Kimono for men (and women)
This vintage Haori (Kimono jacket) is hand-sewn from Oshima Tsumugi silk in a warm brown tone. Oshima Tsumugi silk is a handspun silk renowned for its fine pattern and subtle sheen.
The colorful silk lining, featuring an ochre and navy checkered pattern, makes this Haori especially striking when worn inside out. Suitable for both men and women. Very good vintage condition, no imperfections.
Men’s Haori and Kimono differ slightly from women’s styles, they’re plain colored on the outside with unique artistic linings designed to be shown when worn inside out. The sleeves are fully attached to the body of the garment, unlike women’s Kimono sleeves are partly loose and swing gracefully.
Men’s Haori Kimono can also be worn by women, the main difference is the shoulder width and length. For reference, the model’s height is 164 cm.
