Kokeshi set – mother and daughter by Miyajima Muhitsu

These vintage Kokeshi dolls are called “Hana kokoro“, meaning ‘flower heart’, handmade by master Miyajima Muhitsu (1929 – ). I have found two sizes, which perfectly match together as a mother and daughter. Simple and stylish design, as seen by the asymmetric hairline and flowers painted in white on the body. Both dolls are in good vintage condition. The dolls are made of Mizuki wood and are sold as a set.
