Kyoko – vintage Meisen silk Haori in punch pink
Vintage Haori (kimono jacket) hand-stitched in Japan. This Haori is made of a semi-shiny silk blend fabric, a Japanese Meisen weave. Because it is a combination of silk with a rayon thread, the fabric feels a bit firmer and is therefore less fragile. The purple-raspberry design of stripes and flowers is flat woven into the fabric, the base color is best described as ‘pink punch’, Google the color, love it! It is also very suitable to wear as an overcoat. The lining screams summer, with all its cheerful colors. This Haori is a bit longer and also has longer sleeves compared to an average Haori. The purple silk himo cords are included. This kimono jacket dates from the 1950s or 60s and is in good vintage condition.
Kyoko is a Japanese girl name that means ‘respectful’.
