Mitsu – vintage Kimono jacket with artistic design
Are you ready for a daring jacket, a real showstopper? This is the one for you! This subtle shiny cream colored Kimono jacket (Haori ) is slightly longer and has stylish long sleeves. It is handmade in Japan and dates from the 60s. The artistic design is woven into the fabric in various shades of gray and a pale pink. A beautiful jacket that you can wear chic or casual. The silk lining is cream colored with a woven design of beautiful Japanese symbols of cranebirds and chrysanthemum (Kiku ). This Kimono jacket is in good vintage condition, besides some small stains on the sleeve, see last image. Mitsu is a gender-neutral Japanese name meaning ‘light’ or ‘honey’.
