A beautiful antique black Haori with a wonderfully subtle Sayagata pattern woven into the silk and flowy extra-long sleeves (a clear sign of its older age). When the light catches it, the geometric pattern comes alive with a soft sheen. I love these details!
Sayagata is a traditional Japanese motif symbolising ‘longevity, prosperity and continuity’.
Hand-sewn from wonderfully flowy black silk, it drapes beautifully and feels almost like a second skin. The lining is made from colorful silk featuring a mix of beautiful floral and geometric patterns.
The Kamon (family crest) at the neckline adds an authentic touch of Japanese tradition.
In perfect condition and yes, it’s all silk!
