Vintage Japanese Sensu Ogi – Dance Folding fan Sakura
This vintage Japanese folding fan is made of sturdy paper stretched over black lacquered bamboo ribs, it opens and closes with a firm flick of the hand. A Sensu Ogi folding fan is an important element in traditional Noh and Maiko dance performances, adding graceful visual movement on stage, also a practical use for cooling. It features a traditional Japanese Sakura flower design printed over a silver background with some hand-painted details in bright pink. Used but in good vintage condition.
