SHIO – unworn vintage silk Haori Kimono in dusty pink
This vintage Haori (Kimono jacket) is hand-sewn from flowy silk in a delicate dusty pink shade. Its surface features a woven floral motif, highlighted with subtle shimmering accents of metallic pink and silver threads. The rayon lining is adorned with a design of peacock feathers.
This Haori came with the tailor’s original silk basting threads (Shitsuke) still in place, used to preserve shape during storage. Clearly an indication that it has never been worn, so therefore in perfect condition, dating from around 1960s. A classic yet modern piece to wear. Shio meaning “tide” or “salt” in Japanese.
