Cute vintage mother and child Kokeshi

This vintage creative (Sosaku) Kokeshi shows an Oshin (babysitter) with a child. Back in the days an Oshin was important to a Japanese family. This special Kokeshi consists of several parts that are ingeniously attached to each other. There are no loose or rotatable elements. The wooden body is the eye-catcher of this doll, on which the beautiful wood grains are visible. As well as the beautifully painted indigo Kimono with Igeta print she is wearing. This cute Kokeshi doll dates from the 1960s, and is in perfect condition. Only the child’s face has faded slightly over the years. A true find for your interior.
