Kazuko – vintage silk Kimono jacket (Haori) in pastel mint

This vintage Kimono jacket is handmade in Japan from a beautiful silk, with a subtle shine and gradient from beige green to pastel mint. The Haori has a truly beautiful design of leaves and flowers with various color shades depending on the light. The woven in design is exceptional, it’s in various shades of soft lavender blue, with details in lavendel, green and yellow metallic threads. This Haori has slightly longer sleeves and a stunning silk lining with a pattern of chrysanthemums, the emblem of the Japanese imperial family. It is vintage and in very good condition. There are just a few tiny light stains, hardly visible though. I gave this Haori the name Kazuko, a Japanese girl’s name meaning ‘harmony and peace’. A hopeful name in the troubled times the world is in.
