Momiji – antique Haori with Japanese autumn leave design
This antique Haori (kimono jacket) dates from around the 1940s. With its dark red and gray woven design and striking maple leaf pattern in beige, it is a true showstopper. This Haori can be worn both chic and casual. It is extra long and has slightly longer sleeves. The silk lining is decorated with a traditional Japanese design of flowers and leaves. The tailor’s original basting threads are still present and can be easily removed. These stitches (known as Shitsuke) indicate that this Haori is most likely unworn. This antique beauty is in very good vintage condition, a few very tiny imperfections, barely visible, honestly not worth mentioning. Momiji is Japanese for ‘autumn leaves’.
