Vintage Japanese Sensu Ogi – Dance Folding Fan in OffWhite

This vintage Japanese folding fan is made of sturdy paper stretched over bamboo ribs, it opens and closes with a firm flick of the hand. A Sensu Ogi folding fan is an important element in traditional Noh and Maiko dance performances, for adding graceful visual movement on stage, also a practical use for cooling. It features a 60s semi-gloss pattern design with gold and silver details. It is signed Morita, likely the surname of the dancer or artist to whom it once belonged. Used but in good vintage condition.
