Vintage men’s Haori (Kimono jacket) hand-sewn from Oshima Tsumugi silk in a rare soft green color. Oshima silk is a plain woven silk (hand-spun) with a very fine pattern of pre-dyed threads, which gives it a subtle shine and silky surface. Produced on the Amami Islands in the southern prefecture of Kagoshima, Japan. It has an embroidered family crest (Kamon) on the back. The lining is made of shiny silk in a champagne color and has a fully embroidered silk pattern of a temple complex with a mountain landscape. This stunning lining invites you to wear it inside out. And of course this men’s Haori can also be worn by women! It’s in good vintage condition.
