This adorable Kokeshi set is decorated with Urushi lacquer and in black and bright colors. Urushi lacquerware is a traditional Japanese folk art. Lacquer is a strong material that will retain its beauty for years, make sure you keep it out of the sun and do not clean it with water or detergents. Both dolls are in good condition and date from the 1960s. They have some minor imperfections due to their vintage age.
